ABOUT MISS NISEKO WORLD
BACKGROUND
As Japan was the host of the 2020 Summer Olympic Games, the country's tourism industry has launched a campaign to highlight unique experiences in the land of the rising sun that will appeal to international travelers. Miss Niseko World 2020 Beauty Contest is to promote cultural exchange, gathering over 20 Niseko Stakeholders & international organizations to promote Hokkaido culture, art, scenery, and Niseko to the rest of the world.
To empower and provide opportunities for diverse, and goal driven women who have desire and passion for Japanese culture and travel experience to Niseko for cultural exchange.
Exposure to a multitude of ideas and Japan winter sports experience - explore skiing / snowboarding culture in Niseko - our aim is to assist the contestants in creating their very own platforms of greatness, on an international level.
Opportunity for contestants to showcase their beauty, personalities, values, and talents while strengthening their self-confidence.
Miss Niseko World 2023 Beauty contest will be held in Niseko on 4th March, 2023 (Saturday).
There will be a total of 10 participants competing for the title of Miss Niseko and to promote Niseko, from winter sports, to dining and cultural events such as spiritual rejuvenation at hot springs, as well as its vibrant nightlife & cultural side of the spectacular village of Hirafu.

JUDGING CRITERIA
JUDGING CRITERIA: The judging process will be based on each participant’s ability to present poise, confidence, and a pleasant atmosphere. As a contestant, she will be judged based on the following categories:
NATIONAL COSTUME
In this category, the judges are not just looking at how well the choice of your costume represents your nation, but they are also looking at your poise, grace, posture, confidence and how well you carry yourself.
SKI-WEAR FASHION SHOW
In this category of the competition, each contestant is evaluated on stage presence, physical fitness, posture, and confidence.
PERSONAL INTERVIEW
In this category, contestants are scored on personality and how well they can articulate with confidence and understanding of Niseko & Japanese culture.
